This privacy policy explains how the Ludo Bangla app for Android
(package com.ludobangla.game) and the web version at
ludobangla.com/play handle your information. Both are
published by Rashel Khan ("we", "us").
Summary
Ludo Bangla has no ads, analytics or tracking, and we never sell or share your information. You can play everything as a guest: offline games send nothing to us, and online games use only a nickname and a random player ID while you play. A Ludo Bangla account is optional. If you create one, we store your username, email, game results and the other details listed below so we can show your stats, leaderboard rank and friends. You can delete your account at any time.
Optional Ludo Bangla account
You can create an account in the app (Settings → Account) or at ludobangla.com/account. If you do, we store:
- Account details: your username, email address, a securely hashed password (we never see or store the password itself), a public player ID, your language, and your notification and privacy choices.
- Profile picture, only if you upload one. Other signed-in players can see it with your username.
- Game history and stats: for online games, the players, places, captures, duration and rating change; for games you finish on your own device while signed in (against the computer, Play or Team Up), the same summary. These are used for your stats, match history, achievements and the leaderboards.
- Friends, notifications and reports: your friend list and requests, the messages in your notification center, and any report you send or that is sent about you.
- Security data: the IP address, date and browser or app version of each sign-in and of your active sessions, so you and our team can spot unwanted access and stop abuse. Sign-in history is deleted after 180 days.
We use your email only to run your account: password resets, email confirmation and important account notices. We do not send marketing email. Your email is never shown to other players. Your username, player ID, avatar, stats and achievements are visible to other signed-in players unless you turn off Public profile or Show me on leaderboards in your privacy settings.
A small team of Ludo Bangla staff can see account details to provide support and keep games fair, for example to handle reports. Every staff action is recorded.
Deleting your account: in the app (Settings → Account → Delete account) or at ludobangla.com/account (Settings → Security → Delete account). This permanently deletes your account, profile picture, friends, notifications and sign-in history. Finished online games stay in other players' history under the name "Deleted player". You can also ask us by email to delete it.
Information used for online play
When you play Online or Friends, the app connects to our game server at
api.ludobangla.com and sends:
- Your nickname: the name you type in the app (up to 16 characters). Other players in your game see it.
- A random player ID: created by the app on your phone so you can reconnect to a game after a dropped connection. It is not linked to your name, Google account, phone number or device identifiers.
- Your game actions: dice rolls, token moves and the preset emojis and quick messages you send. Other players in your game see them.
For guests, the server keeps this information only in memory to run your match. It is not written to a database or disk. It is deleted when you disconnect, or within a few minutes after your game ends or everyone leaves it. If you are signed in to an account, the result of each online game is saved to your account as described above, and friends rooms are recorded with their code, players and times so moderators can handle reports.
Like any internet service, our hosting provider and Cloudflare (which protects and delivers the connection) may process technical data such as your IP address to connect you and to keep the service secure.
Information kept only on your device
To remember your choices, the app saves a few settings in its private storage on your phone, such as your language, sound setting, nickname, player names and colors, dice, token and board styles, and house rules.
If you choose a picture from your phone for a player or as a board background, the app saves a scaled-down copy inside its own private storage so it can show it in the game. The app only sees the picture you pick, and it never uploads it. Pictures are never shown to other players online.
You can delete all of this at any time by clearing the app's storage in your phone's settings or by uninstalling the app.
Playing in your browser
The web version at ludobangla.com/play works the same way. Games against the computer, Play and Team Up run entirely in your browser and send nothing to us. Online and Friends games use the same game server and the same nickname, random player ID and game actions described above.
Your browser's local storage keeps your nickname, player ID and sound setting so you don't have to enter them again. If you sign in to an account, the site sets one strictly necessary cookie that keeps you signed in; it is removed when you sign out. The website uses no advertising or analytics cookies and no tracking. You can remove this data at any time by clearing this site's data in your browser.
Third-party services
The app does not include any third-party advertising, analytics or crash-reporting services. Online connections pass through Cloudflare, as described in Cloudflare's Privacy Policy. Google Play may collect information when you download the app, as described in Google's Privacy Policy.
Children
The app is intended for users aged 13 and over. Guests are never asked for real names, email addresses or other contact details. Accounts require an email address and are only for users aged 13 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13; if you believe a child under 13 has created an account, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will update this page and the "Last updated" date above.
