How multiplayer Ludo works

What ‘multiplayer Ludo’ means here: seats, computers that fill empty chairs, and how a turn is sent to everyone.

“Multiplayer Ludo” here means more than one human or computer sharing one board with a single turn order.

Seats

A table has 2, 3 or 4 seats. Quick play fills them from a public queue, then with computers if people are short. Friends fills them from a code. The host is not a special colour; they only control when a Friends room starts.

Who owns the roll

On the server, one roll is made; every client shows that face. You cannot have a private 6. Legal moves are computed from that face and the same rules object. If your client disagrees, the server wins and the client is asked to sync. That is why a patched webpage cannot grant extra tokens.

Disconnects

If you drop, the seat can be rejoined for a while with the same guest id or account. We do not hold a finished game open. Reports use the room code — send it if you email us.
